Bauhaus and Associates

  • National Film and Sound Archive (map)

Live improvised accompaniments for solo percussion and computer to a selection of experimental films at the National Film and Sound Archive.

Here's the NFSA's description:

A selection of films by, about, or parallel to the artistic movement which came to define 20th century architectural and design modernism and rationalism. As well as rare film archival meetings with Bauhaus leaders like Walter Gropius and Mies van der Rohe, the selection also tours key Bauhaus buildings, and other defining, associated works of 20th century design modernism such as Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye. And there’s also a selection of the experimental filmmaking closely associated with Bauhaus, such as work of Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Hans Richter and Viking Eggeling.

Tickets available through the event page on the NFSA website.
